Transforming Sherwood Forest

Sherwood Forest is already a central part of our community, but with the Reimagine Sherwood bond extension, it will be transformed into a regional destination for sports, events, and family gatherings. The plan includes major renovations to existing ballfields and the creation of a state-of-the-art sports complex and multipurpose event center.

Planned Improvements

Baseball & Softball Fields

• Turf infields and irrigated outfields for year-round play.

• CMU backstop walls and safety netting.

• New fencing and dugouts.

• A single canopy to provide shade and improve the fan experience.

 

Sports Facility

• 8 basketball courts

• 16 volleyball courts

• 24 pickleball courts
  This facility will allow Sherwood to host major tournaments and community leagues, bringing in visitors from across the region.

 

Multipurpose Event Center

• Banquet hall seating for up to 512 (banquet style) or 840 (reception style).

• Ceremony space for 200–300 guests.

• Prefunction and multipurpose areas to accommodate a wide range of community events.

• Bridal room and supporting spaces for weddings, celebrations, and community gatherings.
